This is one of my latest projects. The client had seen a similar but smaller piece at a trade show out west. You can see a picture that one below, it has a glass case in the middle section. He wanted more work surface and it was going up against a wall. Another request was that it have the 'Big 5' in the carved scene. The desk is constructed of a Michigan cut walnut with 2 compass star inlays and 2 grommets made of wenge. It's over all top size is approximately 7' wide by 7' long.
